Milani holos & The Face Shop with Konad

Last Saturday my partner’s sister and Mum flew in from Adelaide to spend the day with us for my partner’s birthday.
We had a lovely lunch and I did their nails
Here’s what they chose:


The Face Shop PP403 (two coats) with some Konad stars stamped on in the eggplant colour Princess Special Polish.


This turned out great, although the image on the Konad plate was a little hard to use … I had to try multiple times before the entire image transferred onto the stamp. Pretty, though.

His sister requested Milani 3D Holographic in Digital, a pretty pink which is transformed in the sunlight (which was apparently lacking in my photos).


Three coats of Digital with some cute leaves and flowers stamped on with the Konad Princess Special Polish in purple. Excuse the bit on the index finger, she accidentally bumped it right before I took the shot!!

Milani Photo Flash with Konad Plaid stamping

I give you … Milani Photo Flash.

One of the prettiest colours I own!

Oh wow, sorry about the messy and dry cuticles there. I did not notice that when I was taking the photo. How embarassing!

 

This is a gorgeous deep berry red, with a slight red glittery shimmer through it. Stunning! Opaque in two coats (you could probably get away with one in a rush!) and wears awesomely.

But I couldn’t leave it alone, could I?

 

Konad plaid stamping using the Konad Special Polish in white. Don’t mind the wonky thumb and little finger.  My Konad skills are still being refined

 

This looked sooooo pretty though. The red and white just looked amazing!

Milani 3D Holographic Skittles!

I’m in luuuuuuurve!!!

These Milani 3D Holographic polishes in Hi-Tech (green), Cyberspace (blue), Digital (pink), Hi-Res (purple) and 3D (gold) are all opaque in two coats.

The most holo was definitely the Hi-Tech (green) which looks gold in some of these shots. The least was the 3D (gold) which had barely any holo, but was still pretty.

They also wore like steel. I didn't put a top coat on because last time I did, it yellowed after one day. Even still, I wore it from Thursday evening to Sunday morning with minimal chipping and tip wear.

These are just gorgeous colours even without the holo, but in the sunlight it was just bling bling. Loooove!

Cherry Culture Haul

What did I see on Thursday afternoon when I walked through the front door after work?

 

An army of polishes!!! My Cherry Culture haul arrived!!! My partner was home until 2 o’clock on Thursday because he had a call out at 2am and couldn’t go into work until later, so he unwrapped them all and lined them up for me so it was the first thing I’d see as I came in the door.

I literally squealed!!!

Milani Photo Flash. The photos do not do this colour justice. It is a gorgeous berry pink/red which shimmers and is just beautiful! I can’t wait to try it out.

 

Sinful Colours Hottie and Mint Apple. Cannot wait to try these babies!

 

 

LA Colors Aqua Crystals and Cayenne Pepper. Not too sure about the Cayenne Pepper, but we’ll see!

 

I’ve already tried all of the Milani holos, stay tuned for a skittles mani using them!!!

Milani 3D Holographic–HD

I truly wish I owned this polish, but it’s another one I borrowed from my nail tech friend. And she got it in Fiji

When I first applied this polish I though “meh, this isn’t going to be very holo … how disappointing!”

But I put on my three coats and then a coat of SV and went outside to take some photos …

 

 

Woah. Woaaaaaaaaah!

Oh how I wish I owned this polish … where do I get Milani polishes from!? I’ve tried ebay and only found one colour I didn’t like. But this one is goooorgeous! It has fuelled my holo addiction even more. Must buy holos! Can’t wait til my first full pay. I think I’m going to go nuts ordering US brands

 

Edit: I just found a website to order Milani’s from!!!! Cherry Culture is a US site that ships to Australia!!!  And their postage is very reasonable … I just ordered 11 polishes and it was US$25.43 postage (7-14 days) including insurance! They had Milani holos on sale for $3.75 – bargain! Sooo I ordered all six colours And a Milani Nail Flash polish in “Photo Flash”. And a couple of LA Colours for $2 each. Aaand a couple of Sinful Colours for $2.50 each. $62 later … not bad for 11 polishes though!
