Love Thy Polish sale!

Celebrationsale

Love Thy Polish is having a sale to say THANK YOU for your support over the past 18 months. The past few months have been huge for LTP. We have secured three new Aussie stockists, two of whom are in South Australia and will be using LTP for manis and pedis inhouse as well as selling them, and the other is Femme Fatale Cosmetics, based online in QLD.

Love Thy Polish also has its first international stockist, Mei Mei’s Signatures! LTP will be available to purchase from there within the next day or so. The stock has arrived in Singapore and will be launched on the website soon. Mei Mei’s Signatures ships WORLDWIDE, so all the LTP fans who have held off buying due to exhorbitant Australia Post shipping charges, you can now shop online at Mei Mei’s Signatures and buy all sorts of other indie brands including Enchanted Polish, A-England, Cirque and more. Mei Mei’s Signatures also stocks mainstream brands like China Glaze and Color Club and nail tools and accessories.

So to say thank you for making this all possible, ALL Love Thy Polish products are 15% off at www.lovethypolish.com until 5pm SA time tomorrow (9 June 2013). Aussies only, unfortunately, but international ladies, keep your eyes on Mei Mei’s Signatures!

Enjoy!

Happy birthday Pretty Serious!

Birthday-Banner_grande

Photo thanks to www.pretty-serious.com

It’s a celebration today! Today marks the first anniversary of Pretty Serious, brainchild of Kaz.

Kaz has worked hard over the last year to establish her brand and she produces such amazing nail polishes, eyeshadows and lip glosses.

Without further ado, here is Daphne’s Birthday Party!

DaphnesBdayParty

Gorgeous, right? Daphne is Kaz’s chickie babe who adorns all her branding material and she is so CUTE!

This polish contained medium sized pink, blue, green, gold and silver glitters. So sparkly and blingy, I couldn’t even capture it. This was two coats. The first coat was a little patchy but the second coat evened it right out!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Daphne, Pretty Serious and Kaz! You have done an amazing job Smile

Cate Ruby New Yorker with Butter London Blagger

Recently I was lucky enough to score a couple of mini Cate Ruby polishes to review. Cate Ruby has the cutest bottles with a stretchy diamanté ring that you can remove from the lid and wear Open-mouthed smile Who doesn’t love a bit of free bling?

This is one of the polishes I got:

NewYorker

New Yorker is a vibrant red creme. I have to admit, when I got this I thought “Sigh. Just another red creme.” and I did not think it would come close to knocking Butter London’s Pillarbox Red out of the first place position for my favourite red.

But it did.

This is a ONE COAT RED. ONE COAT, people!!! It had a gorgeous, buttery formula and was super shiny even without a top coat. Honestly, this was a dream to apply. Some reds are a total b*tch to clean up but this one wasn’t and I didn’t need much clean up at all due to the amazing formula Open-mouthed smile I’m super impressed.

I added an accent of Butter London Blagger, a gorgeous medium blue creme. This is an amazing polish too.
The two polishes look so beautiful together.

I have one more Cate Ruby to review … stay tuned!

You can buy Cate Ruby from stockists listed on their website: http://www.cateruby.com.au/.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly with Australis Milky Way

I was lucky enough to acquire one of the Whimsical Ideas by Pam polishes and had to try it literally the moment it arrived.

I whacked on my PVA base coat for easy removal and away I went!

PB&J Milkyway

Two coats of Peanut Butter and Jelly. This is such a gorgeous squishy red-purple jelly with gold hexes and micro glitter. Two coats and it was perfect. I didn’t have to go fishing for glitter!

I decided to do an accent nail of Australis Milky Way. Australis have been trying some different things lately and this polish is really cute! Two coats and it was good to go.

I just love the packaging of the Whimsies. The little bow on the bottle lid is adorable!! It’s little special touches like that which make the polish, in my opinion.

Do you have any Whimsies?

Gloss n’ Sparkle–Unicorn Droppings & Goblin’s Grave

Hi all! I have been a crappy blogger, haven’t I?! I don’t remember when I last posted and now I have a huuuuuuuge backlog of photos to edit and posts to write. Whoops!

Anyway, here are couple of polishes from Aussie indie brand Gloss n’ Sparkle.

Unicorn Droppings:

UnicornDroppings2ct
Love, love, LOVE! A gorgeous milky white base with holo shimmer and rainbow hexes. This was two coats which gave enough coverage! I must wear this again because the night I put it on, I used a PVA base and I had to take my partner to the emergency room and he was admitted for suspected appendicitis. So I peeled it all off while in the ER anxiously waiting.

Goblin’s Grave:

GoblinsGrave3ct

Gorgeous!!! Look at the depth to this lovely squishy deep green polish. All the different coloured hexes:

*drool*

I used three coats of this as it was a little on the sheer side. This was one time I was too lazy to use my peel off base coat and I regretted it when it came time to remove it. Oh, removal was a bitch alright!

I mattified it for something a little different:

GoblinsGrave3ctMATTE

Ahhhh, perfect!
