Ulta3 goodies

I’ve been absolutely loving nail stamping lately. Well, more so than usual Everyone knows it’s my favourite form of nail art! Stamping never fails to wow people and have them asking how I did it. I then go into an explanation of stamping and how awesome it is and people just stare at me like I’m from another planet. Don’t get me wrong, they’re impressed, but I know a lot of people can’t fathom spending so much time and effort on nails. To me, and most other nail addicts, nails is a form of therapy. If I go more than a few days without painting my nails, I get craaaaanky.

 

Anyway, I got some more goodies from The Heat Group to play with. More Ulta3s – YIPPEEEE  

 

This is Footloose Fuschia:

A perfect, glossy fuschia creme. This is one of their older colours and I luuuuurv it. It’s such a vibrant pink. Formula was absolutely perfect and it was very nearly a one coater! I did two for good measure.

 

I added some Bundle Monster stamping for good measure:

Splatters! I used the Konad Special Polish in Pastel Pink. I am a huuuuge fan of the Konad pastels. They stamp so well and I love the single colour contrast of it over a darker shade!

 

Here we have Sizzling Red:

Yeeoooow! What a sexy shade! I love a good red creme and this one didn’t disappoint. This too was almost a one coater with a perfect formula but I did two coats as per my usual routine. I didn’t want to cover this beautiful shade but my partner loathes red nail polish (he calls every single red “Wh*re Red”) so I had to do something to try and redeem it in his eyes. Enter, stamping!

 

Booyah! I looove this! I can’t remember which plate this was but I looove it. My partner actually really liked it too so that means it’s definitely a winner

 

And last but certainly not least:

A mix n’ match mani with Striking on the pointer and middle fingers and Get Teal on the ring and pinkie fingers with a coat of A Lister on top. Two coats of Striking (although you can see I probably need a third because I have a liiiitle bit of VNL), two coats of Get Teal (which only needed one) and one coat of A Lister. Striking and Get Teal are two of my favourite Ulta3 polishes. Striking packs so much ultra fine glitter and shimmer into it but it remains sooooo smooth. It doesn’t even NEED a top coat! Get Teal is the perfect shade of deep teal and it glides onto the nail. I loved this colour combo!

Sea Siren Cosmetics–Tranquility and Pamper Me Pink

Woohoo, I have some more Sea Siren polishes to show you I’ve had so much fun trying these out this weekend. This time I have Tranquility, a pastel purple creme, and Pamper Me Pink, a pastel pink creme.

 

These babies are to die for:

Seriously. UNF! Perfect smooth, glossy coverage in two coats. These were nearly one coaters!! I am so, so impressed. The formula was impeccable and clean up was minimal because it was just so easy to apply!

This is my favourite way to try out a couple of polishes: the thumb, pointer and middle fingers one colour and ring and pinkie fingers another! Pink and purple go well together and these two were no exception. Sorry if it seems like I’m gushing over these polishes but I just love them. Pastels can be streaky, slow drying and a general pain in the ass, but these pastels are the complete opposite.

 

I jazzed them up a little with some nail stamping:

I used my Pueen plates and a silver stamping polish. I just love this netted roses look

Aussie favourites–Chi Chi Plastic Fantastic and Pretty Serious Liquid Leprechaun

I have a couple of Aussie stunners to show you today.

The first is from Chi Chi, an awesome brand who have a huge range of polishes and other cosmetics.

 

This is Plastic Fantastic:

Such a pretty deep mint aqua-y green. I found it hard to describe this colour, can you tell!? Two coats. A great, creamy formula.

I stamped some pretty flowers on top.

 

And this is Pretty Serious Liquid Leprechaun:

This is from Pretty Serious’ Halloween collection. It truly is like someone threw a leprechaun into a blender and hit the go button. Poor little leprechaun  

This has a boat load of green and gold glitters. I just love it! It only needed two coats and application was fantastic so I needed to do minimal clean up. Winner!

China Glaze Hanging in the Balance and Whirled Away

I really, really loved this mani.

For my Secret Santa present from the lovely Peita from Peita’s Polish I received three of the polishes from the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil collection.

 

This is Hanging in the Balance, a beautiful bright blue creme. Stunning, isn’t it? It stains like a biatch, so beware! I layered Whirled Away, the black and white glitter, on top.

I really love the colour combination but the glitters were just too big for me. I’m not a big fan. If the glitters were smaller then it would be a winner!

I also stamped a koi fish design from plate A48. Beautiful fishy!

L’Oreal Rue de Montmartre with Nailz Craze stamping

This is one of the manis I’ve done lately that’s gotten the most compliments. I’m pretty chuffed with it myself!

 

I started with a base of L’Oreal Rue de Montmartre:

Two coats. Delicious! This is a lovely deep blue creme. As usual, L’Oreal’s brush made application easy and awesome.

 

Stamping with Nailz Craze plates. Isn’t this just adorable!? Winter sweater nails Granted, I did these when it was over 40 degrees here but I think I was just channelling colder weather. Our air conditioning has been broken for six weeks now and I’m a little over it.

Chanel Blue Boy

This is one of my favouritest (yes, great English but I’m excited!!) polishes EVER. My lovely partner was good enough to get me my most lustest after polish collection for Christmas: the Chanel Les Jeans Collection.

I was just so excited to wear them and I knew just which one I’d wear first.


Blue Boy. A perfect dusty denim blue. This is two coats and I just love it. I wore this to Adelaide and it lasted with only minor tip wear for over five days. Kudos, Chanel.

I did some funky nail stamping to complete the look:

p2 Barbados Punch

I have another p2 polish to show you all today. This is Barbados Punch, from the “Mission Summer Look!” collection. I got this in a swap probably about a year ago and it took me so long to get around to wearing it!

 

It’s a lovely pink, but nothing special really. I have a few pinks just like this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still pretty! This only took two coats to be opaque.

To jazz it up I decided to do some multi coloured stamping.

Holo heaven–Chemistry 518 and Jade Hypnose

It’s still quite warm and sunny out here in the desert. You wouldn’t know it’s autumn, that’s for sure I’ve been wearing quite a lot of holos because well, why not!?

This is Chemistry 518:

Two coats, gorgeous formula! Chemistry is a dupe brand of Ozotics and a friend of mine got this for me for cheap cheap. I did some stamping with Konad and an accent nail using Cult Nails Nevermore and 518 to stamp on that. The stamping didn’t turn out great on the accent nail but you can still see the holo-ness!
This next one is one of my faaavourites.


Jade Hypnose. Jade holos never fail to impress. This is two coats. I just love this gorgeous, summery blue.

Zoya Spam Part 2

So I intended to post part two of my Zoya spam a long time ago, but it just didn’t happen. I have been super busy with study and other polish projects.

 

Love Thy Polish is my indie polish brand which I created in December 2011. For a long time I just sold my polishes in my home town and at the markets here but at towards the end of last year I decided to create an Etsy store and have a go at selling them online too! I love concocting different combinations!

 

Anyway, here are some more pretties for you!

Zoya Evvie:

With some Bundle Monster stamping. Such a super pretty green-grey creme. Beautiful in two coats.

 

Natty:

The perfect deep teal with just a hint of grey. I love this colour!!

 

Some stamping jazzed it up just that little bit more!

Butter London–Pillarbox Red with Cult Nails-Coveted

Merry Christmas, everyone!

So, the Christmas mani I did yesterday didn’t quite work out but I have another one for you. This is the mani I did for the Christmas Pageant in my little town:

Two coats of Butter London Pillarbox Red and two coats of Cult Nails Coveted. So, so gorgeous. Pillarbox Red is honestly the most perfect red I’ve ever seen and Coveted is such a lovely, deep green jelly with glass ‘shards’ in it.

 

I decided to make it a little more Christmassy:

I sponged white on the tips and stamped some Konad designs on. Cute little snowmen on my fingers and “Merry Christmas” on my thumbs. Everyone at the pageant loved this!

Cult Nails–Untamed with OPI Teenage Dream and Cult Nails–Time Traveller with China Glaze White Cap

I’ve been loving Cult Nails lately. The creator of Cult Nails, Maria, has done such a fantastic job at producing unique and wonderful colours.

I was feeling creative so I applied two coats of Cult Nails Untamed:

This is a gorgeous Barbie pink with a lovely micro-shimmer throughout. Two coats gave me great coverage and it wasn’t uneven or patchy at all.

 

I then blinged it up:

I lightly painted some OPI Teenage Dream on the tips in a gradient pattern and stuck rhinestones in a half moon design on my thumbs. I loved it! I felt so, so girly.

 

Next up is Time Traveller:

Such a lovely deep midnight blue creme. Unfortunately the formula was a tad thick and gloopy, but I get the feeling my bottle could have done with some thinner.

 

I couldn’t leave this alone so I added a few things:

With one coat of China Glaze White Cap a gorgeous gold shimmer top coat. Lovely! I stamped some stars from the Cheeky plates on in Konad Yellow.

L’Oreal–Rebel Blue

I’ve been kind of loving sponging lately. It’s so simple yet so effective So when I did this mani I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

 

L’Oreal Rebel Blue with Ulta3 Lily White sponged on and the gorgeous puffer fishies from the 3rd Bundle Monster set stamped on as an accent.

So, so cute Rebel Blue is such a pretty blue and a dream to apply thanks to their awesome wiiiiide brushes.

China Glaze–Atellier Tulle with stamping

The lovely Kristy from The Polish Haven gifted me this pretty, summery polish when I bought from her blog sale. It’s always nice to open up a package and find extras! Thanks, Kristy 

She gifted me a mini China Glaze in Atellier Tulle, a pretty deep red coral colour.

I was feeling summery so decided on a cute and fun mani using it:

Two coats of Atellier Tulle with some cute lollies and sweeties stamping on in Konad Special Polish White. I’m struggling to remember which stamp it is but I’m pretty sure it’s from the 3rd Bundle Monster series.

 

This was such a fun and happy mani. I really enjoyed wearing it

essie–Coat Azure with stamping

I have a pretty, pretty polish for you guys today. I had this beauty sitting in my untrieds since February (whoops) and I’m not sure why it took me so long to wear it!

essie Coat Azure, two easy coats. It’s got such a pretty shimmer through it, hasn’t it?

I decided to jazz it up with some stamping:

This is a design from the latest MASH plates. I’m really impressed with these plates.. I found them easy to stamp with

I dotted the centre of the flowers with NYC Color Banana Split. Some of the dots are a bit wonky but you get that in the big jobs!

 

It’s such a Spring-like mani, don’t you think?

Face of Australia–Calypso Gold with stamping

A little while back I won a blog giveaway over at the lovely Kristy’s blog. I love Kristy’s blog and entered the giveaway mainly because I was already reading it so regularly and thought I may as well. I didn’t expect to win, though
I won the whole Face of Australia Barbados collection! This is the first polish I tried from the collection, Calypso Gold.

 

Stunning white gold foil with just a hint of yellow gold. Two easy coats and fantastic formula. I love, love, love this colour!

But I decided it was missing something … stamping, of course

 

I used one of the new Bundle Monster plates and was so pleased with the results:

I just loved this mani It was so classy and beautiful. I used the Konad Special Polish in Warm Black, which is a black with a gold shimmer through it.
