Custom Polish–Toxic Slime

I’ve been looking for an excuse to use more of the colour morphing pigments I bought from Cathy. I decided Christmas was a good enough excuse, so I made a Christmas-inspired polish.

This is Toxic Slime:

Three coats and a slight visible nail line. It’s very sheer! But a gorgeous green and the red pops in the light.

Here’s a blurry shot to show the gorgeous sparkle:

And another one, just to show the gorgeous red on the nails and in the bottle:

I didn’t want to cover this polish too much, so I just stamped a simple bow on each thumb:

ToxicSlime3ct3Konad

I used Konad image plate M59. Cute Open-mouthed smile Notice how in full sunlight the polish throws off more of a yellowy green colour shift. Strange! But gorgeous!

Hope you’re enjoying your holiday season!

Custom Polish–A Drop in the Ocean

I was really in the mood to create some custom polishes lately. I originally set out to make a forest green jelly with glitter, but I underestimated the darkness of the Ferric Ferrocyanide (blue) tints and it turned out waaay darker than I imagined, even when I added in extra yellow tint.

So I decided to add some of the green/blue colour morphing powder Cathy sent me. And I love the result.

Here it is under my white light:

ADropintheOcean3ct

This is three coats. It was quite sheer for such a dark polish, but that’s because the polish base is a jelly.

Look at the gorgeous shimmer through it! It starts out green and changes to blue.

And now some photos outside to show the colour shift.

Going bluer ….

And bluer …

And even bluer …

Love! I think this is one of the best polishes I’ve ever made! The colour morphing powder makes it so easy to create a stunning polish. I love both colours it produces and must find more excuses to go outside to look at my nails Smile with tongue out

Have you made any polishes lately?

BYS Colour Change–Glitter Blue

I totally forgot about this BYS Colour Change polish in my untrieds drawer. I got this way back in Cat’s birthday giveaway.

This is the Glitter Blue colour change:

ColourChangeGlitterBlue3ct

It’s sheer, really sheer. This is three coats and I still have visible nail line. It’s a super pretty and glittery pale blue, but my hands must be HOT all the time because it always stayed this colour.

I ran some cold water over my nails and they slowly turned dark blue on the tips. I quickly ran back to my study/nail room to take a photo and did just in time. Don’t mind the water droplets!

If only it stayed this way all the time.

Do you have any colour change polishes?
